Candle Courses and Workshops
We offer a one-day course to teach beginners the basics of candle making. This will include understanding the importance of safety and the basics of wax(es), wicks, colours and scents. We also cover the differences in candle containers, temperatures, testing and finishing off candles as well as other important areas. The day is ‘hands on’ and smaller candles are made and taken away. With these skills hopefully you can take them away to use to develop and evolve your skills in whichever direction you decide to go with your candle making. In addition to the one-day course, we are able to arrange small candle rolling workshops which we can take to outside venues. This is designed to be a bit of fun making rolled beeswax candles and learning a bit more about candles and their benefits. No molten wax, no pouring, no waiting for anything to set ….. just a dash of imagination and relaxation.

Forthcoming Courses

We will be running a number of one-day candle-making courses which will be held at the Candle Cavern workshop. The course runs over one day (usually from 10am - 4pm) and will cover a number of areas designed around learning the basics of candle-making using natural waxes (mainly vegetable waxes & beeswax) including;

 Basic Items needed for candle-making, Safety, Basics of wax, wicks, scents and colour, Temperatures using waxes, Testing and finishing off, Packaging tips and ideas, Insurance, Labelling, Making Melts/Tarts, Books, Rolled Beeswax Candles

 The course is 'hands on' and we make both tealights and small container candles during the course.

If there are between 2- 4 (max) of you, please contact me directly so we can arrange a suitable date to run the course at the workshop. We can focus on areas that you may be more interested in and can  plan for a weekday or Saturday.
